Re: Diversity Visa Lottery

Dear Client:

The U.S. Department of State is now accepting applications for the Diversity Visa Lottery. The Diversity Visa Lottery is an opportunity for up to 50,000 persons to receive permanent resident status ("green cards") in the United States. Applications are being accepted from now until November 30, 2009 at 12:00 noon Eastern Time. The Department of State will randomly select the winners from all of the applications submitted and will allow the winners to apply for permanent resident status in the United States, as long as they meet all of the necessary qualifications.

In general, persons who were NOT born in any of the following countries are allowed to apply: Brazil, Canada, China (mainland), Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, India, Jamaica, Mexico, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Poland, South Korea, United Kingdom (except Northern Ireland), and Vietnam. If you were NOT born in any of these countries, you may be eligible to apply. In addition, even if you were born in one of these countries, you may apply if your spouse was not born in any of these countries (if your spouse will apply for a visa with you) OR both of your parents were not born in any of these countries. In addition to place of birth, applicants for a diversity visa must also possess EITHER a high school diploma (in the U.S. or a foreign country) OR two years of work experience within the past 5 years in an occupation requiring at least 2 years of training or experience.

If you believe you qualify for a diversity visa, or if you have any friends or relatives who live in the United States or outside of the United States and would like to apply, please call immediately for an appointment at (502) 491-0197. Our fee for this service is $50.00 per application. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Sincerely,

John M. Vickerstaff
